This is more like it. I’m glad I started with GOURD, instead of my other choice, BINGO.

When did wordlebot switch to tarps as the starting word? I just noticed today.

My brother mentioned that to me two days ago. I wondered why it would start with a plural.

Where did you see that? I was confused because on my congratulations screen with my stats, it said “WordleBot: We both solved the puzzle in 2 guesses today.” But when I went to the WordleBot full analysis, it showed it solved in 4 and the start word was still LEAST. It also said the solution was calculated on May 19, 2026. I play in the NYT Games app. Makes me think it might need to be updated.

Although the NYT Games app didn’t have a missed update, it is apparently different than the NYT app. I opened the NYT app then went to Wordle, which had my solution, but the WordleBot’s was different (started with TARPS and completed in 2) and so was its analysis of mine (skill = 90 rather than 89). That’s very odd. 🤔

Somehow, the Bot knew there was a P in position 4.
I find that very suspicious.
Could it have access to the answer list?

My brother uses hard mode. I think hard mode and standard mode show different WordleBot approaches. There is also a setting “play using a past list.” I like to think it uses Five Forks with that enabled.
That may be up to 4 different WordleBot experiences.

I play in hard mode on NY Times online. I don’t use the app. In the full analysis is showed the bot solved in two. Tarps followed by morph.
The other thing I noticed was in the bot option to look at past puzzles it now shows its starting word as tarp all the way back even though that’s not true. On March 17 the bot started with clasp as it had been for quite sometime. And, that day it solved the puzzle. Now when I look there it shows a three try solve tarps, space, clasp.

I just remember seeing unattended kites tied to cars when I was there over 45 years ago. … Regulations about doing this may have become more stringent.
And yes, there are ‘wild’ horses that roam the beach there.

Carrie asks about this enhancement idea to the filter– exclude letters that have not worked during play so far. I could add a second field that holds “exclude letters” so the filter would not show past answers that contain those letters.
You would have to type those in since the site doesn’t have visibility into your Wordle session. Not sure it would be obvious what “Exclude letters” means. Thoughts?

More like “burned letters” list as you play.
For example after my first guess today:
⬜⬜⬜⬜🟨 tangoI would type “tang” in the 2nd filter field and the filter would not show past words with t, a, n, or g.
After my second guess today:
⬜🟨🟨⬜⬜ shockI would add s, c, k to the t, a, n, g.
I think she is trying to narrow down the filtered pu list to only past words that could have been used at this point.

if you visit the wordsrated.com wordle solver they have a ui that addresses that option with “Letters NOT in the word”.
what they don’t do however is give a pu or unused words result. it is not a daily managed list like you have created here. i always head back to the ffdf and your master list to check for those and to noodle repeat odds.
i typically only go there for potential candidates if i get to round three and am still light on the letter hits.
either way, all roads lead me back to five forks. 👍😎

@Jeb and Kralc, I was thinking the same. This would help us all from cross referencing the Wordsolver website and we’d stay on your FF!
