    โฌœโฌœโฌœโฌœ๐ŸŸจ Slate
    โฌœ๐ŸŸจโฌœ๐ŸŸจโฌœ Orcin
    ๐ŸŸจ๐ŸŸฉ๐ŸŸจโฌœ๐ŸŸจ Ridge
    ๐ŸŸฉ๐ŸŸฉ๐ŸŸฉ๐ŸŸฉ๐ŸŸฉ Diver

Slate and Orcin led to 5 words not on the PUL and one word used in Nov. 2021. I disregarded 6 words used in โ€˜23, โ€˜24, or โ€˜26. That left: Diver, Giver, River, Viper, and Wider, plus possibly Fixer from NOV. 2021. I used Ridge as the burner which led to Diver. I had been thinking about Laser as my first guess and maybe Tonic as the second. Later I computed that on paper and ended up with almost the same results as above. Iโ€™m not good at seeing patterns in the in the green and yellow squares, but this reminds me of a game of checkers that Yellow might be losing. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. You could try STOLE and CAIRN using the same letters and giving a slightly improved green score (if you are always planning to play 2 starter words).

I believe CAIRN hasn’t been played yet if you want to try for ONE.

STOLE has a better green score.

This is all based on the original 2315 list.

    1. Can you explain what you’re new strategy is?

This is the main reason I participate on this list (to see how others play the game to see if I can learn from it.)

      1. Kim S. Avatar

It’s not a strategy so much as I am taking a break from a lot of the analyzing I usually do. I am not spending as much time looking for the “perfect” guess. More like how I payed in the beginning.

        1. Two valid approaches.
Analytical strategy or freedom. Or mix and match.
Maybe just a matter of personality or mood.

Adieu was a good starting word today

I mentioned it more as an interesting fact for all that are reading it.

Similarly, the tennis championship held at Wimbledon is simply just “The Championship” rather than “Wimbledon”.

This is because golf and tennis were invented in the UK. (golf -> Scotland) (tennis – > England).
