This time my first instinct was wrong. I was going to change my 2nd guess to ALIGN after I typed in BEGAN, but a voice in my head reminded me, “Always go with your first instinct.” Stupid voice. 🙄

I just figured out that yesterday I achieved a significant milestone.
My lifetime average just ticked down to 3.44 guesses (from 3.45 guesses). This means that the average can’t be rounded up to 3.5 which puts me definitively closer to 3 guesses than 4 guesses (when rounded to the tenths digit).

I like the notes that you add to the daily list. I have several friends in AA & Al-Anon, so I was pleasantly surprised to see the AA anniversary noted there for today.
I really like the highlighting for new comments. It makes it a lot easier to catch up with the conversation.

Again, guessing a word with a double letter is not a bad strategy if you already established that it is in the puzzle. You already had the “I’ in “DAILY”.
You basically had a coin flip guess, and luckily for you, it turned out to be correct.

New feature coming to the After Party. It’s a “come back” New Badge.
When you first visit the party a date-time is recorded for your visit. If you come back (or refresh) any new comments get highlighted as “New” and a new date-time is set should you come back a third time.
On your first visit, since everything is new, the badge isn’t used. That’s why I call it “come back” new.
Makes the growing number of after partiers and replies easier to keep up with.

I am noticing a glitch on my end. Every posting and reply I make doesn’t go in. When I hit the button again, I says it’s a repeat and I have to leave the blog and come back in to continue reading it.

Thanks for the feedback JD. I’ll do some testing. The “new” badge introduced a calculation that happens every time you refresh the page, which is what happens after you post. I can imagine there is a clash at that moment.
Test: When / if you post and it is missing, try a refresh before you try re-posting and see if it shows up. That would be evidence of clashing. I’ll test too.

JD, I set up a “test party” where we can continue testing and discussing results. Nerd party.
Go ahead and do some comments and replies there and see if anything is better. A slight delay is in the code to see if that avoids a “crash” that may have interfered with page refresh.
