You definitely spotted the bug, and the code adjustment that tells the New Badge / Yellow indicator to wait its turn seems to have solved!
I keep forgetting I have Windows 11 running virtual on my Mac. I’ll remember to test there in the future.

It’s changed the way I play Wordle.
I never knew there were no repeats (at first) before I discovered this site.
BTW, my brother in law insisted that they did repeat up until they actually did. I couldn’t convince him otherwise. LOL. His loss!

Worked. I’m liking the little “new flash” delay.

This test is Android Chrome on older MotoZ.

Working. I can spot the code delay that applies the yellow and new Badge. It is not distracting and is likely helping with post refresh.

This test is after introducing a 1200ms delay in front of New Badge code so that it does not “dive in” and crash with WordPress refresh.
This is also private session.

I could see the 1 second delay but doesn’t seem like a problem.

The new coloring and badge come in after redraw. That’s fine. Perhaps this will help.
