Another word off my list. Been waiting on this one for a while as it is close to my heart. My favorite piece to play on my piano is Chopin’s Etude in E Major, Op. 10, No. 3. As a child, I could often be found miming it on my lap while watching TV. It is my signature piece, so to speak.

conjuring up a shrugging cat with it’s shoulders and forearms reaching for the sky, possibly wondering how this word slipped in…😎🤔 clear to me that i was blinded by the literal french word and did not consider the music connection. i even went with a possible immediate repeat before giving etude a go. 🤷♂️

It’s funny you mention Liszt and I just spoke of Chopin in my post. The two books sitting on my piano’s music rack right now are Chopin’s Etudes and Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsodies.

I’m not so sure about that, but I have been playing since I was five so I have half a century of experience! Liszt’s are by far the most difficult pieces I can play, but it takes a bit of warming up first.

There are some uncommon words on that list.

TRACE was my long time starter for Quordle. Outside of weird situations and bad play, or both, it was very successful.
CRYPT is my new Quordle starter. So far no misses. 😉

I was in the weeds with getting the Wordle squares to space better. This mainly impacted macOS Chrome and older Android that had no spacing between the squares. Several hours of testing yesterday. Just settled in earlier this morning.
Thanks for asking. Hope everyone’s squares look “spacey”.

The next day after a repeat word is such a relief! I had a long list of PU words to avoid and very few after THINE!

For sure. My list is in no way comprehensive. After I solve a Wordle I take a screenshot and then hand write in any words that were suggested by the Bot or someone else’s words not PU.
As a visual learner it’s my little cheat sheet – that only sometimes helps.-
I’m not surprised that I’m not the only one who takes screen shots of every game.
I have a photo album on my iphone full of them.
If I do poorly, I reevaluate my guesses to see if could have done better.
How many of you guys do that?

I used to screen cap each game so I could be sure I was updating the list correctly the next morning. Then I started copy/pasting the puzzles into my Apple Notes app. I have a lot going on when I play because of Five Forks, so really need to use my Mac.
The After Party is now a good archive of my play too!

I did for the first several months, but once I got an NYT subscription, I stopped because I can go back and look at every puzzle in Archive. Now I just take a screenshot of my daily stats as soon as I complete Wordle and then I delete the one from the previous day. I had it screw up on my stats once a few years ago and I had a mini freak out. Ever since, I like to keep a photo for my record. I fully admit I am a tad obsessed with my stats and not breaking my streaks. 🙄
