Thanks for the suggestion, JD!
After finally being done with cramps, I guess I could celebrate by using that word! 🤪💃🎉
-
You’re welcome. Hope it works out going forward.

The designated starter word for wordle tomorrow from today’s winner of our family wordle chat competition is SCORE (to cheer on our grandson his b-ball game tomorrow morning). Good Luck🤣
-
Interesting idea posting in the today (now yesterday) about tomorrow with a starter challenge. It is non-spoiler. I like it.

@JD – can you lend your math? 😉
-
Are those numbers the number of words he has the unplayed solution set narrowed down to?
If so, that’s an incredible sequence!
I keep track of the number of remaining answers also, but never noticed a golden sequence like that.
Love it!
-
Yes, that’s the WordleBot “remaining” count down. Not Scordle. I notice they get different count downs.
I don’t know if it is more amazing that it happened or that TedOz spotted it.
(Or that I sort of understood it.)

⬜⬜⬜⬜🟩AROSE 11 WL (3 PU)
🟨🟩⬜⬜🟩LEDGE 2 WL
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩BELLEWORDLE GAME RHYMES
Just one week shy of 2 years,
Of
‧ UNITY starts, it appears,
136 have been all gray, and of those,
94 did I follow with
‧ AROSE.Today of 11 words left, 3 were Past Used,
Not too recently, and for a PU we’re due,
But not today,
Is Tracy Bennett away?
Anyway,
It meant I was not afraid,
To try Past Used
‧ LEDGE for a Whomp,
Which didn’t disappoint,
At least not much, but still,
I plunked into Ngram
‧ BELLE,
With runner-up
‧ MELEE,
And won with the top ranked.-
re: “As of today, April 17, 2026, there is no official announcement or report that Tracy Bennett is away from her desk at The New York Times… She is still very much the hand at the helm of the Wordle ship.”

Wordle 1,763 3/6
⬛🟨⬛⬛⬛
⬛⬛⬛⬛🟩
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
This is the exact start to puzzle #1760 from 3 days ago; and the very same 3rd word I used to proceed then …
It was “Beautiful” Gold today! -
There are few things more frustrating than when your guesses render no new letters. I was expecting a PU today and came very close to trying WHOLE instead, but it seemed too recent for it to repeat. Glad I didn’t risk it.

I used Stare, Colin (Wordle accepts some names). Then I used the Wordle Solver Tool to get it down to: Belle, Bulge, Delve, Melee. I eliminated Bulge because it was used 9/6/25. My burner word was Embed which led to Belle as the answer for a score of 4.
-
Good job.
COLIN is a word also. Per Merriam Webster, it means.
“the bobwhite or any of several related New World game birds”
-
Thnx for that interesting information!

ROATE
SLIDE
BELLEI had the choice between BELLE and MELEE.
Lucky guess.I had the same choices when it was CYCLE. That guess was even more lucky.
Next time I get this pattern it will be MELEE unless it’s a repeat or add.

Good morning 🌞. I tried a different starting word today.
Wordle 1,763 5/6
⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ Torus
🟨⬜⬜⬜⬜ Lindy
⬜🟨⬜⬜🟩 Place
⬜⬜🟨🟨⬜ Ghees
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 BelleI like easy mode because it allows me to test more letters with each turn. I use the Wordle solver on the Word Finder site to see the most likely letters and then I use the word finder on the Merriam-Webster site to figure out a test word using those letters.
After PLACE, I wanted a test word with an E in the fourth place and a GH somewhere.
-
If you want to solve it in 5 almost every time, you could play:
CRAMP, FLINT, BUDGE, SHOWY.
That will give you 20 of the most used of the 26 letters. It only excludes K, V, Z, X, Q, J
Then you just have to anagram the letters. You’ll probably match 4 letters (at least).
I use that strategy for Quordle. Sometimes, I don’t even need to play SHOWY or BUDGE.
You can mix up the order too depending on how it responds.
-

At this point I would go back to bed.
-
Funny! Never give up! LOL.

Historically, whenever I have changed my mind, it hasn’t worked out well.
I would have had a %100 on my chemistry final in high school if I didn’t change my mind on one question (and it was an easy question too!)
Go with your gut! (which doesn’t mean the answer is “TUBBY”, which would be an Add BTW). They might ban that word actually if they think people will find it offensive.
-
I think I meant “TUMMY” which would also be an add and not offensive.
