I decided to use a word from my Starts List that Iβd never used before. At that point I suspected a T word and was torn between TRUNK and TUMOR. Went with the latter since it had better letters, IMO. π€¦π»ββοΈ Oh well. Iβm still happy with the π¦ββ¬.

The ADDs are coming!
Expect about 4 REPEATs and 12 ADDs over the next month. (That means at least 14 OG NU.)
Then the ADDs ramp up to over a %50 rate.
Also, the REPEAT rate will decline by a lot. (I’m not saying zero.)
————————————————————————
Keep in mind that the pool sizes are still different.
OG NUs: 443 words.
ADDs: 592 words.
1YRs: 340 words.
Love it! Thank you. Iβve taken note βπ»
Just to be clear. In your pools of ADDs and 1YRs, are they all NU, as are the OGs?
(1YRsβsome are already used twice, just wondering if youβre also including those from the 1YRS who have been used a second time.)
If there is 365 days in a year, and the total left is 340. That means 25 REPEATs have happened.
I may have to revisit that number, because a couple of the REPEATs were not 1YR, but I think it’s only 2.
So, 342 is probably the right number.
If they decide to start playing REPEATs “>1YR” at a higher rate, then that changes the math by a lot.
Only SANDY #1126 and SMILE #830 are >1YR.
So, 342 is correct.
The 1YR by definition are played words in the first year of Wordle.
All other words are NU.
Thanks mucho for the clarification!
Thanks JD!
You bet.
Saving your post for future reference. Thanks!

You played this the right way.
I had BRUNT, GRUNT, TRUNK left. Also, 1YRs WRUNG was available.
So, playing the T at the end and a G makes a lot of sense.

π©π©π©π©π©TRUNK (!)
Okay, this was ridiculously lucky. Played my regular starting word, which the bot tells me left 148 words. Don’t know why THUNK and TRUNK came to mind, but I checked whether either one had been the solution before, and went with what seemed more likely. Couldn’t believe it when all the tiles flipped green. Only afterwards did I check to see that THUNK isn’t even in the WB list.
Lucky π¦!

π¨β¬β¬β¬β¬ RAISE
β¬π©β¬π©β¬ CRONY
β¬π©π©π©π¨ BRUNT
π©π©π©π©π© TRUNK
RAISE leaves 22 OG NU.
Matching one letter in the wrong position 2 days in a row.
Where are all the words with βiβ and βyβ?
CRONY would give me a 3 in 12 of those cases assuming itβs an OG NU word.
I counted all the ADDs and 1YRs. There are 29 of those. So, itβs not a great start.
CRONY leaves
OG NU: BRUNT, GRUNT, TRUNK
1YR: FRONT #79, WRUNG #225
Either BRUNT or GRUNT would give me 4.
BRUNT was 1st alphabetically; so, I went that way.
BRUNT left only TRUNK.

β¬π©π©π©π¨ GRUNT
β¬π©π©π©π¨ BRUNT
π©π©π©π©π© TRUNK
This is my Monday morning wake-up performance: two bloopers:
I changed TUNIC into UNITY as the second word. TYING or TUNIC are much better second words than UNITY in this case and would give TRUNK on 3rd try.
And I missed TRUNK as 4th word and blindly typed BRUNT, which could never be correct. I need to sit on my hands!!
In UNITY with the AROSE’rs, I now take the BRUNT of my bloopers and GRUNT: “I should have stayed in my TRUNK!”
Have you guys considered following AROSE with LINTY?
In my analysis, you get a slightly better yellow score, because of the L vs U.
I use LINTY when AROSE gives all blanks. When a green “R”, TUNIC and TYING are better (but not much) than LINTY.
Right, I meant in cases where no letters were matched rather than R in the right position.
TUNIC and TYING are interesting plays.
I haven’t charted AROSE; so, I am not certain what word I would go with without doing that when an R is the correct position.

My list of possibilities for second word favored an NK ending. After STUNK I thought of TRUNK and THUNK, the latter guessed by 8% of my 405 others. Apparently not as in “Who’da thunk it?” but in the onomatopoeic sense. Anyway WordleBot did not consider it, so TRUNK made a checkmate three solve.

Nice 3!
What I like is that, in addition the vowel search, you’ve used a lot of what I think of as ‘connecting consonants’.
I know all consonants connect to other consonants in at least some words. But S, L, P, T, R, and even D and N to a lesser degree, connect with a wide variety of other consonants.
They’re obviously popular letters with higher chances to be in a Wordle solution. But also eliminating them as possibilities can greatly narrow down the remaining word pool.
a very precise analysis. Tnx
