Don’t sweat either of those!
Historical odds for both are %10 each.
So, odds are %80 for OG (2315) words.

Short term odds are 40% for an ADD and 7% for a REPEAT.Even that makes it 47% collectively. (I think this is short term).
So, that makes it 53% chance (better than even) that it’s neither an ADD or a REPEAT.

Also, the word pools are skewed!The 2315 list has only 464 words left.
The list of ADD’s (which is the Weighted Bottle list over 40%) is 605 (653 minus 48 words already played).
So
—
80% chance that it’s from a pool of 464. (Unplayed 2315)
10% chance that it’s from a pool of 605 (ADDs)
10% chance that it’s from a pool of approximately 343 (365 First Year Words minus 22 REPEATS).(Granted, there have been a couple of non first year REPEATs.)
This makes playing from the 2315 list even more of the preferred play (for now).
When a REPEAT or an ADD comes along, I just figure it will be a 4 that day.
If the odds of either REPEATS or ADD’s approach the odds for 2315, I might consider pooling the word lists together and adjust my “second guess” accordingly. I wont do it until it does.
Since the pool of ADDs is much larger, it will be more difficult to predict which word it will be.
Just rule out the 2315 words and then play for the other 2 categories.
Know that the short term chances of an ADD is almost 6X that of a REPEAT now.
So, don’t play a REPEAT unless it’s a burner word or filter. Don’t expect that to be the answer.
So, I don’t worry about them at all. You shouldn’t either.

Today, I was able to rule out 2315 words on the 2nd word.
Check those Weighted Bottle scores on the ADD’s. The good scores should be on the most common words.

Keep in mind that words like PSHAW WB score is about 40% vs 58% for more common words.

That’s interesting.
I don’t play hard mode, but it seems that this good strategy by the bot. By playing R3 and S5 in TARPS, it can play the high frequency letters in places where it doesn’t form a pattern trap like yesterday’s word. _RA_E. It also plays one vowel which is equally interesting.
I think its almost a completely different game.

The best filter I can come up for this one is DRAWL. There are 2 words that start with D. 4 words with D. 4 words with W.

You could be right for sure… the end game she’s playing could be a whimper… as we run out of words, we’re going to see more and more 2s and even a lot more 1s. It will make for an interesting end game.

That’s an interesting thought! I think, at that point, she’ll have mixed in REPEATs or ADDs at a collective %99 RATE.
So, yes, there will be people guessing that word for a couple of weeks until it finally hits.
Meanwhile, because that word is IDK “RAZOR” e.g. People will get 5’s and 6’s, because they started with RR and a Z. LOL!

My first word was PASTE so well done Mike S.
And PAL isn’t as interesting as your guesses suggest! It stands for my Previous Answers List–an alphabetical list of all my incorrect, non-repeat answers. After my starter words I usually choose from that list to save time and I’ve scored a surprisingly high number of 2s and 3s from my PAL.
