Probably is old and doesn’t include adds then. Maybe contact the guy and see if he could update it

ALOHA #1862 is “not” a word. (ADD)
He says “There are 2309 valid Wordles”. Must not be updating.

2309 is the number of words in the original answer list minus the 6 words they removed. 2315 – 6 = 2309.
Sadly, this list is dated, because of the 48 ADDs and 20 additional words that have been removed.

Was thinking RUNNY after my start word. Couldn’t talk myself into it. After the second guess I was thinking RUNNY, RUMMY, or RUMOR. RUMMY seemed the best option of the three. Hadn’t even thought of FURRY.

It is in the OED. (This is more proof that Wardle used the OED for the playable word list.)

ROINS is probably a good guess because it contains 3 first tier letters (RIS) and 2 second tier letters (ON).I suppose you could have played the anagram ROSIN instead. (Also, NOIRS, NORIS, ORNIS and IRONS.)

Furry had the higher letter by position score, but on the same chart which is based on the original NYT Wordle Word List, 230 words contain the letter F and 318 words contain the letter M. Looking back to 7/20/26, we’ve had Wimpy, Fence, Feign, and also Motif and Flume which contain both letters. Also, reviewing the past answers on FF that begin with F compared to past answers that begin with M, it looks like more past answers begin with F, so I took a guess that it was time for a word that started with M. My “research” was probably as valuable as consulting the Magic 8 Ball, but I was glad to get a 3.

I narrowed it down to the same 2 words, but my logic was far more dumb.
I forgot to consider FURRY. So, I thought MURKY was the only answer.
I probably would have guessed M over F anyway. M is still ahead of F on my chart too. Last I checked F was tied with W. It fell a bit.
