was perusing the list of contenders revealed by the creek. my usual routine these days is to consult wordsrated for a list of possibilities then crossref it against the ffff. today’s results include arose and i thought wow! if that hits then fireworks. i didn’t play it, knowing the arose tribe would be celebrating hugely already if it hit…a deuce for moi would be anticlimactic.
the other main contender was graze as i keep expecting a zee to light up.
in the end i had a feelin’ that tribe would be the one. it has all the right elements so i rolled the dice. 🎲🎲⚡️🎯 bingo! twofer monday!💥🦅 woohoo!

Felt a T word today and got that rush when the first two letters flipped to green. TRIBE was another word on my starts list, so that’s all I used as reference for this solve.

Much better result this time!
RAISE leaves only TRIBE and URINE.
I guessed TRIBE first last time. And so, not wanting to flip flop to URINE, I stuck to the same pattern. If I guessed URINE, and it was TRIBE, I would regret it all day.
The good news is that the next time this pattern shows up it will likely be URINE or a REPEAT/ADD.

That’s exactly what I’ve been saying.
The interesting thing is that the REPEAT rate has recently stayed steady at 10%, but only the ADD rate has increased to 36%. (So, that’s 3% higher than last time I measured it!)
It could be that she’s trying to get the long term ADD rate to equal the REPEAT rate, because the ADD rate was about 8% for a while and she’s about 3 ADD’s behind the 10% average pace as it was originally. She’s one REPEAT ahead of pace.
To your point, I expect both the ADD and REPEAT rate to increase at some point.
I wish she would just do ADD’s and nix the REPEATs, but I don’t think she’s going to do that. She wants us to consider the REPEATs; so, that the possible number of solutions is larger. So far, it’s only been first year REPEATs, but only people like us know that.
I’ve had arguments with my in-laws about whether Wordle had been repeating or not. They think it’s been happening for years. LOL.
She has over 600 ADD’s (identified via Wordle Bot) and only 468 unplayed 2315 words left. She’s willing to play the rare ADD’s like PSHAW and ASPIC over BOGUS and NAKED.
So, I don’t know what she’s waiting for (in regards to ADD’s).

I always go with the 2315 NU words before an ➕ or ♻️. The only time I didn’t was when I was being impulsive, which usually bit me in the 🫏.

Same here. Fittingly, the errant guess was “LOSER” (when the answer was “POSER”).
You can really overthink it sometimes. I’m trying hard not to do that.

sUmmer of U-words from Professor Mike – aUg. 17; LUTEA sponsored by GrandmommieIf memory serves, Tracy Bennett said that a random word selector chooses the solution several weeks ahead (subject to her making changes if there is a problem). The recent SNIPE solution where many players (including me) chose SWIPE before SNIPE makes me think that choosing one word over another because it seems more common may not be a good strategy. So I picked TRIKE over TRIBE because I thought of it first 🙂
