The double repeat made me wary
Didn ‘t know what to expect today. (All the comments here would have been helpful!) Let’s go with A and I as our vowels.
#1 TRIAL – Not bad! Got two letters in the right spots. Used the filter to see if I got any ideas. Put in ?RI?? Lots of possibilities! Many words that have two vowels. And, 18 that only have one. It made me think this word only has one, as well. Only two words ended in Y – BRINY and GRIMY. Hmmm…I could only think of one possible word.
#2 PRIVY – OMG! That was it! Without the filter tool it would probably have taken me longer to get to that word. Sheesh!🙄-

How many thought for a moment that we might get a three-peat? I did! I spent longer than usual choosing my 3rd guess as I weighed that possibility. I was this close 🤏to picking DRINK, before thinking better of it. So, I am happy with the 🦜. And, on Cat Day, I assume Bally is as well since she only ever gets to see birdies through the screen door. 😻

This is exactly wants Tracy wants. By doing the back to back REPEAT, she has created the specter of the REPEAT forcing you to consider more answers than are going to be there.
I’m not going to fall into that trap. As long as the odds on REPEATs are far less than %50, I’m only playing unplayed 2315 words until they are ruled out. Then I’ll consider ADD’s and REPEATs. Since the odds on ADD’s are actually higher, I would consider those before REPEATs.
It caused me to get a 5 on GRIPE, but I feel it’s worth the sacrifice.

kinda of a cool stack but here is what i found about it. me, i am good with the “i ching” context.
What It Means

We are at the sunny 😎Oregon Coast with the kids and grandkids. I was just checking yesterday’s after party GRIPEs about the double repeat. Thanks for the Pete and Repeat joke. It played well with my 6&10 year grandsons.-
We were at the Oregon coast last weekend, Bastendorff Beach in the Coos Bay area.
Then we were inland in a very warm Ashland for a couple of plays.
Where on the coast are you at?

Ah, Ashland! I have family there, (as well as several Oregon cities). Very lovely when it’s not too hot. I’ll be driving through in a couple weeks on my way up to Ocean Shores, on the Point Brown Peninsula on the Washington coast. My favorite place.

Of course, the first day I didn’t play it in ROATE (after RAISE), someone asks this question LOL.
So, let’s run the thought experiment on the fly… (Why not?)

That would leave 19 words.
My second guess (preselected) is LYRIC
That would have given my R I Y in the wrong positions.
That would have left only GIRLY and PRIVY.
So, knowing there is a run on P’s. I would have gotten the same number as the number of licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop! LOL.

I have to confess. Having played ROATE parallel to RAISE. ROATE has been killing it! A lot of 2’s!
If I switch back, I think that trend would reverse the other way.

The difference is the OT vs the IS. Even though there are now more I’s and S’s left in the remaining answers, O’s and T’s have been coming up enough. Some of it is sheer luck, because the answers just happened to be some of the Second Guesses that I’ve already identified for ROATE.
It’s almost like she’s watching me… LOL.
The recent run on I’s is validating though.

I suspect the run on double letters is over (for now), but the run on I’s is new and the run on P’s is still pretty strong.Also, for the P words, a lot of them start with P.
So, if you want to start with something with a P and I in it.
Maybe something like PRICY, because they’re holding back the words ending in Y (for some unknown reason.) Y?

The “New” indicators help. I just worked an improvement that prevents the New indicators from clearing if you post. Instead they follow a 5 minute count down, giving you time to get through them.
Fine tuning.

👍 sweet fix, thanks. the “new” indicators have been a welcome addition but i have had that issue when flipping back through the fresh stuff. i learned the hard way to go through them all first before responding to any, as they would all become “no longer new/ yellow” as soon as i responded to any one of them.
