You should have had your usual 2.

      Hi there!

Funny to see it as two games! You’re right!

    2. It would have been interesting if the answer was CUBIT.

It would be the first REPEAT of an ADD (and pretty recent too!)

    3. 2 games in one is an accurate description of my game today too.

I ruled out the unplayed for the first game and then played for the REPEAT in the second game.

The last 2 guesses are the same too.

  9. Lucille Ball was a huge influence, especially in the world of television. Being the first woman to own a production company, she went uncredited from the mid 1950s to the mid 70s as producer on many TV shows, TV movies, and several theatrical movies. Most notably she executive produced Star Trek: The Original Series.

Her ‘I Love Lucy’ comedic style has echoed through generations of successful sitcom television, including ‘Laverne & Shirley’, ‘Friends’, ‘Miranda’, and many in between and since.

    A true entertainment giant.

    [Dracula Snores]

The R in the right spot helped today. Was running through a lot of G and P words that were previously used. Decided to check both letters out with my second guess.

    1. How Mike makes me think:
OK… 1 yellow in the center. Dracula has 2 fangs. Maybe only 1 shows when snoring in his sleep? But there’s a black under in row 2…

      1. Not the most attractive Dracula. Maybe more of a Max Schreck Nosferatu.

Viewed in recline, as [Giraffe Cloud Watching], I saw the gap as his open mouth, and the yellow (red when I did the puzzle) as the side view of his fang(s).

I admit I was a bit disappointed at his lack of a nose. But I couldn’t let go of the thought of Dracula sleeping. Does he have dreams of flying as a bat? Does he have daymares of seeing the sun? There’s certainly a good chance he snores, because he’s always lying on his back. 😁

    ⬜🟩🟩⬜🟩 TRIBE
    ⬜🟩🟩⬜🟩 URINE
    🟨🟩🟩⬜🟩 PRIDE (30)

Well, started out great! but it didn’t end well.

My first 5 since May 2nd. So, not so bad.

I feel I played this the right way. I didn’t need to play a burner word either.

RAISE left only TRIBE and URINE.

Neither share letters; so, I had to play both.

No dice! It’s a REPEAT or ADD like I said was coming yesterday, but you never think it’s going to be the next day! LOL.

So, now I have a bunch of choices!

CRIME(725), CRIPE (ADD), DRIVE (522), GRIDE (ADD), GRIKE (ADD), GRIME (167), GRIPE (187), PRICE (975), PRIDE (30), PRIME(521), PRIZE (438)

First, since the ADD chance is higher, let’s consider those first.

    CRIPE, GRIDE, and GRIKE

None of those words are listed on the Weighted Bottles list at all!

    Therefore it’s a REPEAT.

The earliest REPEAT is PRIDE(30) and a damn good filter for the rest!

    PRIDE(30) left only GRIPE(187)

I have no regrets or GRIPEs.

Aha! A repeat not following the rule of the oldest repeat winning the day. Or has this happened before? I haven’t tracked repeats—it’s not the game I want to play and nearly caused me to quit wordle. I’ll take a pshaw over a repeat any day.
    🤓

Also… this could have a deleterious effect on my monthly average goal of 3.0 🤓

    2. It depends on what you play.

I played the earliest REPEAT which was PRIDE(30) for me.

GRIME(167) and GRIPE(187) were also available as first year REPEAT choices.

Luckily PRIDE gave me the P.

      1. 🥸 Christine Avatar
        🥸 Christine

Here’s a case where I played (earliest repeat strategy) against my normal method (most used letter strategy P vs M) and it cost me.

PRIDE was the best play you could have made, I think.

        1. I would have played GRIME(167) over GRIPE(187) unless I was considering the run on “P”s, because 167 and 187 are so close.

The P wouldn’t have been the tiebreaker for me since I had PRIDE (LOL).

          1. 🥸 Christine Avatar
            🥸 Christine

yes, then we BOTH would have been wrong. LOL

        2. GRIPE / GRIME would have been a tough decision.

I probably would have gone GRIPE because of the P.

Of course, if I guessed GRIPE, then it would have been GRIME.

          Murphy’s Law.

    ⬜⬜⬜🟨⬜ TANGO (48)
    🟩⬜🟩⬜⬜ GUILD #109 (4)
    🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 GRIPE #187

20th repeat since Ground Hog Day.
Roughly 1 in 10.

    1. I think 1 in 10 is the intentional pace on REPEATs (for now).

It might be the same for ADDs too, the inflated odds might be an attempt to catch up, because she’s behind the 1 in 10 pace on ADDs.

I’ve been charting both since CIGAR. The 18th REPEAT (since CIGAR) should have happened on 8/1/26 if she was keeping a 1 in 10 pace. Instead it happened on 7/30/26. This REPEAT happened 5 days before the pace for REPEAT 19 (since CIGAR). She’s 1/2 a REPEAT above pace.

For ADDs, she’s added 14 ADD’s since CIGAR, but she should already have 18 ADD’s by now. The 19th should happen tomorrow. So, she’s 5 ADD’s under pace.

Per Wordle Tools, there are 3 more REPEATs in the queue over the next 34 days (1 in 10). There are 11 ADDs over the next 34 days (1 in 3).

If this happens we’ll be plus 3 in ADDs (over the 1 in 10 pace) in a month.

I think we’re going to see an ADD tomorrow, but I’m not going to play it that way.

I think there’s still a non-zero chance of a REPEAT too, but more likely an ADD.

** I submit that a new rule has emerged: TB avoids words that represent disgusting excretions from the human body (recently vomit) and now urine. If this rule holds true, avoid feces & mucus, too.

Excretions from bats are admissible but unadvised as would represent a repeat and an add. 🦇

        1. The Weighted Bottle score from Wordle Bot doesn’t confirm that opinion from NYT.

          URINE (%58)
          VOMIT (%58)
MUCUS (%0.2260) // not the primary spelling of MUCOUS?? – not sure why they eliminated this one.
          FECES (%55.9)

Maybe the person who evaluates the words in Wordle Bot isn’t the same person as TB?
