Wordle 1,863 2/6
β¬π©π©β¬π© Crane
π©π©π©π©π© GrapeIβm happy to join the group who got a 2. After Crane, only Grape and Graze remained. I was very tempted to use Graze instead of Grape for the second guess since yesterdayβs answer contained a P, not to mention the recent Pshaw. However, the chart at real-statistics.com which I believe is based on the original NYT Wordle Answer List indicated that P is in the 4th position 50X and Z is in the 4th position only 20X, so Iβm glad I went with the stats.
Thanks to JD for the info about the Weighted Bottles Scores! For yesterday (Aloha), the 3 words I was considering had about the same Weighted Bottles Scores so no help there. I also did a Google search: βThe Weighted Bottles Score refers to an internal metrics system used by WordleBot to evaluate the remaining valid words during a Wordle game.β (From RedditΒ·r/wordleΒ +1)
WordleBot does not keep track of Wordle answers that have been previously used. Even so, WordleBot often beats me and I wonder if itβs using the Weighted Bottles Scores to pick the choices after the first guess?-
I have toggled on in the settings βUse knowledge of past solutionsβ for the π€ analysis. I thought that meant that the π€ knows PU. If not, then what does it mean, do you know?

π§π§π§π§π§STEAL, CURDY left 24 possible, 7 unused. I chose GAMIN as a filter. It left GRAVE (used last November, too soon for reuse), GRAZE, GRAPE.
This would have made my streak 1500 if it hasn’t been broken by a technical glitch last December that didn’t record my win.

Is there somewhere I can trade in some 2s and 4s for 3s.

Nice π¦ and grid art nod to JD
-
Nice!
-
Nice 2! And too funny about trading away 2’s $ 4’s!
-
Why would you want to do that? Just curious
-
I’m joking. I’ll take whatever is the best I can do.
But I really want 3s over everything. My last Wordle goal is getting my 3s 100 over my 4s.

π©π©π©π©π© GrapeFor some reason, I woke up after only 5.5 hours of sleep and couldn’t get back to sleep. π«©
I probably need more exercise and less screen time.
As usual, Miriam-Webster helped me come up with my 2nd word.
PUTID narrowed the possibilities enough, GRAPE was the only unused option but I decided to try the oldest previously used word. π²
Jeb, the light setting doesn’t work for me. In dark mode, some text is hard to read. My workaround is to select all text. Maybe I need to clear my browser cache.
-
Jeb, I tried clearing data in my browser (DuckDuckGo) but light mode is still working like auto mode.
I also opened the Five Forks Support page in Chrome with the same result.
-
To confirm, the way the menu selection works is it shows the mode you are in, which can be counter intuitive. When you choose Auto mode, you end up in Light Mode.
You said Light Mode is not working for you, though. What is not working?
-
I think I understand what you’re saying. It’s a toggle, so it shows your current mode and when you tap on it, it changes your mode to the next one.
When it shows that I’m in Light mode, it’s still following my system setting, which is dark mode at night.

Wise choice! I bucked that reasoning and went w Graze first.

In case of a REPEAT or ADD, I would rather rule out the P than the Z.

Good one finding CRAIC-
True…
My Grandad was full Irish & spoke a bit of Gaelic
my daughters Dad is too (tho born here)
its in our veins – so I was familiar with the word πππ
(originally Scottish) I have them on the other side…..
same for many antipodeans……π©Έπ§¬-
β₯οΈCRAICβ₯οΈ, a word Iβve heard frequently as I favor Irish movies, shows, poets, authors & folks.

-
Ah, if I had a nickel for every Billy Idol reference I’ve heard this year, … I wouldn’t even be able to play Space Invaders. Still, nice to here one in the wild.
CRAIC gets a lot of use on UK panel shows almost anytime someone Irish is on or something Irish comes up. I throw my vote in for it making the Wordle list. Nice one!

had a case of sour grapes…..π
