It all depends on that first word…I wanted a word with E and O.
#1 CAMEO – Amazing! The M was smack-dab in the middle with the vowels up for grabs. I could not come up with any words that started with either vowel. Then I thought about LEMON. It was #567 in the archive. The only other word i thought of…I was guessing it had been used, too.
#2 DEMON – But, it turned out, I was wrong!🥰-

played a gut choice repeat of gouge which fizzled but did light up the o and put the e in 1 or 2.

In the remaining Wordle words not on the PUL. Sometimes I get a lot of information from the first guess which changes my plan, however, today Crate and Lousy led me right to Demon.-
I am planning on republishing that list due to an error in calculating the number of words containing a particular letter. I was double counting words with double letters. So, “FIZZY” was counted twice for words containing “Z”.
I fixed it.

It contains the top 10 letters like the rest of the answers.

NYT AVG. 3.7I didn’t quite make the average because on three I put a letter back where I already knew it didn’t belong.
About BREAK, Wordlebot said “This was a good guess; CEDAR would have been more efficient. It has a D, which better narrows down the possible solutions, like HEARD or CODER.”
And about CHEWY, “If you face this situation again, DEMON will minimize the expected number of turns needed to solve the puzzle on average.”

🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 DEMONThis isn’t a particularly good pattern for RAISE leaving E in the wrong position.
RAISE leaves 24 words to choose from.
After exhaustive analysis, I settled on BETEL (a double E word!) as the best filter. There are 5 words that start with B. 12 words with an L in it. 10 words with EE. 5 words with a T.
BEZEL is awfully close as well.
BETEL leaves only DEMON and PENNY.
This is where I don’t guess NN, because I don’t know for sure that N is in the puzzle (in case of an ADD or a REPEAT) even though both unplayed words that I am considering have N’s in them.
Plus O is a tier 2 letter (used to be tier 1). It is worth playing.
Leads me to DEMON.

I am only half way through the alphabet sorting my personal nu word list – comparing it with FF pu & GitHub 2315 available words.
I have found it interesting to note: H, K, N words are all-but used, J words are close (of those I noticed)
Posted here as many folk are pondering/ commenting on nu, pu, adds, on their After Party solves-
Curious. What’s the “personal” part of your nu word list? In other words, how does it differ from the official Wordle nu list (2315 words minus pu & add)?

Hi Charles. As i have been playing (before I was even aware of the 2315 list) I’ve been jotting down my nu words (& others since joining FF) plus some I feel could/should be adds – like Douse my previous regular starter…..
I check that manual list first for inspiration
I see a few folk on here that comment- only 2 words left etc….. and have no idea how they know them?
I sit here and nut it all out – with the help of Jebs’ ‘tools’-
Thank you for your reply. Is your manual list hand written, or do you have a way to sort them alphabetically or something? That seems like some work!
Also, I report the Wordle bot answers about how many are left after the fact. I choose from all the options I can brainstorm from my head (vetted against the FF pu list). At times I didn’t think of a word, but then as some green and yellow fills in the answer reveals itself in a “Eureka!” fashion. This is typically how I end up with 4s or 5s, lol-

Sounds a lot, but only 0-1-2 words per week, sporadically at first, so approx 150 words with 20 being non-listHmmmm, now which one to start with today – 7/10

It’s interesting that even though there are not a lot of J words left, it actually creeped up the rankings of words left, because Z, X, Q dropped for all the words used.
These are the last “tier” of all letters.
Went from Z, X, Q, J to Z, J, X, Q.
J went up 2 spots from being the worst letter to being the 3rd worst letter.
I must admit I do have an error in my spreadsheet, because I’m counting words with double and triple letters 2 and 3 times. So words like FUZZY and DIZZY are being counted twice. This is because I’m finding all the words with Z in the 3rd position and all the words with Z in the 4th position. Those values are correct, but then I’m adding them together which gives me an incorrect yellow score.
I noticed that when PUPPY was played, P’s went down by 3.
I am planning on correcting that error today.

In regards to K. K moved ahead of F in tier 4 was MGBFK now GHBKFI’ll see if any of this changes once I correct the formula in Excel.
