Seems like I’m more likely to get a 2 when there are 10 or more words left. Last time, I had it narrowed down to 17 words.
When I have a 1 in 3 chance or a 50-50, it ends up being a 3 or 4.
Go figure. Now I have to come up with a new second guess for this pattern.
SLING gave me a %50 chance of getting a 3. 5 words with N, 4 words with L, 2 words with G.

I honestly think they should do straight (unused, ENGLISH) S-words until they’re completely done with them. If they’re going to use them so much & so frequently, just get it out of the way.
There are approximately 30 of them left in the answer list (about %5-6 of the remaining words)
S is the most common starting letter.

Just curious. What led you to that decision? (K over G)

I chose Slink over Sling because on the letter frequency chart at real-statistics.com which is based on the original NYT Wordle Word List, K was much more common than G in the 5th position. (K in 5th position = 113, G in 5th = 41.)
Incidentally, I can no longer reach the real-statistics.com site. I have a photo of it that I use. I wonder if the author is revising it to more closely match the letter frequencies of the Wordle words that have not been previously used?

OK, That makes sense. It matches the data I have which probably comes from the same exact source.
I was initially thinking of overall frequency rather than by position.
BTW, I found an error in their table. It was the same error I made in my table. They summed up the words in “tot” row. This double counts words like “FIZZY” and triple counts words like “PUPPY”.
I discovered this when PUPPY was played, my number of words containing “P” went down by 3.
This makes the letter frequency order slightly different than what was originally stated.
