🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧STEAL, CURDY left 6 possible, but 4 were used. AIDER was less appealing than DRAKE. My gamble paid off.

SAUCE served me well. ABODE was chosen because it was first alphabetically and seemed like a good possibility. DRAKE is for the pair of mallards that show up in my pool from time to time and once laid an egg on the deck. Well, the DRAKE didn’t lay it, but you got that.

🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 DrakeScale yielded 4 words not on the PUL: Drake, Grape, Graze, Ovate. Grape or Graze would rule in/out the others. Grape had the higher letter by position score and seemed more appealing. That left Drake. The Wordle site indicated that today was my 102nd day with a Sea of Green! I didn’t know this was something that it tracks. According to Google that started in March of this year.

🎂🎁 🎈🎉 Happy Birthday, Monika!🎂🎁 🎈🎉I saw the trap right away so I just decided to deal with it. I came up with 25 words, only 4 were not previous solutions. Several were low-numbered PU, so I tried to pick words with endings and beginning letters that would eliminate some of the possibilities. In retrospect I should have thought of DRAKE, but solving in 4 steps instead of 5 isn’t all that important to me. Glad to settle for the fiver!
