STEAL and YONIC left only NOBLY and LOONY, but I don’t think the latter is on the list.

OPIUM was to get in the rest of the vowels, but wasn’t very helpful. I second-guessed my 3rd attempt and chose HYDRO instead of my first choice, COLBY, which would have gotten me to it in 4.

I almost started with STEAK , and tho PEAKY gave me the Y in correct position – it was a brain buster of guesses after that

So, channeling good vibes & maybe a JD chant for today…… πŸ€

  4. I think there will be a REPEAT sometime next week between 6/9/26 and 6/12/26.

There should be an ADD some time soon too.

Per Wordle Tools, there are supposed to be 2 of them in the next 30 days.

    1. I’m going with this repeat-chance scale at the top of the list for now. Kind of like life guard flags. Also adding totals of each level to Repeat Stats.

low = 0 to 4 days since repeat
      med = 5 to 9 days
      high = 10+ days

      Hi JD
I have no idea of any of the adds – is there somewhere i can find the word & date πŸ€”
      Cheers

      1. Hi Glenda,

While no one (but the people who have peaked into the Java code) knows the future answers, I can provide the past words that have been ADD’s. (I keep my own running list along with the REPEAT’s.)

Here is the list of past ADD’s per Wordle Tools.

        https://wordletools.azurewebsites.net/AddedSolutions

Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks JD – site is glitching at the moment, so will retry later

I would never use a word solver, so didn’t want to search b4 doing Tuesdays puzzle – I only want a current list of available words & the GitHub list I use is from 2024…

          happy wordling

          G 😊

          1. Hi Glenda,

I am not sure what you are asking for here.

I would never give you answers to future puzzles as I don’t know them myself. I don’t want to know.

That link is NOT to their tool. It is simply a list of the ADD’s that have been played. An ADD is just the words that have been played that were not part of the original 2315 list.

I don’t use a published tool myself. I have a spreadsheet with several word lists (depending on the pattern I get back from ROATE)

The word lists are basically the 2315 word list minus all the words that have been played from it.

There is also a “Playable” words list which contains over 10,000 words. I am slowly working my way through this list to see which words Tracy Bennett should add (instead of repeating previous words).

What word list do you require?

I clicked your link again, expecting it to glitch – so I could show you the site wording that led me down the wrong track……..

          Hmm, good point.

New Jack K, or rebranded jack k?

          Well, welcome nonetheless.

          1. I recognize him by his use of the word SCION.

If you don’t know that, YOU DON’T KNOW JACK!

            ROFL!

        2. When someone uses a new email, it gets moderated, so I welcome first timers. But not so bad to welcome old timers by mistake…

      2. Mike S Avatar

        Welcome, Jack!
        … …

Jeb, Jack’s post to yesterday’s list with today’s solution maybe should be removed, just in case someone is browsing old stuff before finishing today’s puzzle.

Also, yesterday’s word was unsurprisingly not CHEESE.

Also please delete the non ‘Welcome, Jack!’ parts of this message after you read it. Thanks.

        1. The only 5 letter word I can come up with for CHEESE is SWISS.

          I’ll keep noodling that one.

          1. Kim S Avatar

COLBY! Which was going to be my 3rd guess today, but I stupidly chose HYDRO instead.

          1. Not only is QUESO not on the 2315 list, but it’s not on the playable words list either. LOL.

        3. I’m lost, but this may be thread of the month. πŸ†

    1. Who is hiding within the Shadows in the Woods?

      1. Mike S Avatar

        Thanks, Jeb!

I made a cheap paper and cardboard version of this game that was a lot of fun for my children.

There’s something magical about being a child and playing a board game, at night, that uses a candle that’s the only light on in the house. It became a sleepover party favorite.

        1. That’s very cool.

I had a huge collection of board games when I was a kid.

          1. Mike S Avatar

            You’re still playing games. πŸ™‚

We need to pare our collection down, … eventually. We have easily over 500 board games.

        2. Loved it as soon as I figured out what it was. I’ve got 4 grands from 5 to 7 I’ll be introducing to this game. And maybe in our scary basement! Thanks Mike!

  8. Wordle 1,812 3/6

    ⬜🟩⬜⬜⬜ ROATE
    ⬜🟩⬜⬜🟩 WOODY
    🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 NOBLY

ROATE narrows it down to 17 words.

WOODY narrows down to BOBBY, GOLLY and NOBLY.

Since NOBLY shares the B In BOBBY and ends in LY like GOLLY, I went with NOBLY.

I could have easily gone with MOODY as well as WOODY. Both give me the same odds for a 3.

Also WOOLY and WOOZY are still unplayed words. WOODY gives me a coin flip on those 2 for a 3.

Y is present in 8 of the unplayed words, followed by D (6) and OO (6). Hence the OO. (for all those who prefer to avoid double letters.). Hence, _OODY word guess.

Stare and Colin covered the 10 most common letters in Wordle answers. Also, the placement of the green and yellow spaces led to Nobly. I often work on Wordle for 45 min. or longer; nice to get it done in 10 min. πŸ™‚

    1. Very good starters!

STARE and COLIN gives you a green score of 2203. (ranks 8th on my list)

SOARE and CLINT gives you a green score of 2628.

Weren’t you the one that played SOARE / CLINT yesterday?

STARE has been played. COLIN is not on the 2315 list.

Thanks for the good info! Can you define the “green score?”
I use some words not on the NYT Wordle Answer List for the 2nd guess. Before my first guess l look at the answers for the past 7-10 days as I’m hoping for the best use of the top 10 letters in the words on the NYT Answer List. Sometimes I get some very good info in the first guess and change direction. I sometimes consult the Wordle Letter Frequency Chart at real-statistics.com for rating possible answers. I have a teen granddaughter who likes Wordle. I showed her how to turn a 10 minute activity into one that can take an hour or more! πŸ™‚

        1. So, you’ve turned your daughter into a Wordle obsessionist like us. LOL.

A green is when you get the letter you guessed in the correct position.

The Green score just counts how many greens you get if all original 2315 words in the original answer list were the answer.

I didn’t make that chart. BTW. Someone else did this years ago. I just use it to do the Green score analysis.

BTW, if you use E A R O T L I S N C, then your Yellow score is maximum, because those are the most common letters!

          1. Sorry , granddaughter

        2. It took me some time, but I found the list.

          https://real-statistics.com/wordle-strategy/wordle-letter-frequency-and-patterns/

All you have to do is add up the numbers for any given word.

I do it in a spreadsheet and use the SUM function. It makes life a lot easier.
