i adjusted my starting word to creek today even though k is seldom used.so then, since i had the first letter, instead of hitting jeb’s awesome search tool i browsed the unused wordlist for the first time ever. couch seemed like a logical option so i stretched out on it. 😎

Approximately, 18 words are left after matching the O in the correct position.
WOODY ruled out all the solutions starting with W ( There are 3 of them.) , all the OO (There are 6 of those) and all the D (6 of those).
That left me with 6 words. BOSOM, COMIC, COUCH, COUGH, LOGIN, and POUCH.
COUGH was the perfect intersection word between every word except BOSOM where I don’t repeat letters.
COUGH leads to COUCH.
At least that one’s off the board now.
