Well, all good things come to an end… My streak of 2’s ended.
(1) ROATE
(2) FENCEfence increased my odds very slightly in getting it in 3, but matched no additional letters. Bummer!
fence, fudge and femme still out!
If I match “f”, it would lead to either one.
(3) SLIDE
This is my old guess which I should have stuck with. At least I got a “D” out of it.
seize, sieve, slide, snipe are still out, but slide doesn’t necessarily give me seize or snipe, because “i” is in the same position.
(4) BUDGE
The only word left. “fudge” was already ruled out with “fence”.
