TIP 1: Guess new vs past words as a tie breaker. <\/strong>
\nIf you think of two answers and one is on the list, choose the \u201cnew\u201d word. NYT said new words will be more common than repeat words for now. So either answer could be right, but new words are still more likely.<\/p>\n

TIP 2: Use old vs recent as a tie breaker. <\/strong>
Choose older past answers over recent past answers. Reuse answer numbers so far: #0, #296, #4, #51, #15, #59 #112, #1226, #57. All but 1 from year 1.<\/p>\n

TIP 3: Check CHRON list for the last repeat date.<\/strong> If a repeat (@) was in past few days, we are not likely to have a repeat today.<\/p>\n

TIP 4: Repeat answers are least likely to repeat again. <\/strong>
\nIf you see the \u201c@” repeat mark on a past answer, it isn\u2019t likely going to be used a third time.<\/p>\n
