Melt butter. Add brown sugar &amp; stir til dissolved. Cool mixture, then beat in egg. Sift together flour, salt &amp; baking powder &amp; add to butter mixture alternately with coffee. Blend in vanilla &amp; stir in chocolate chips &amp; nuts. Turn into a well greased 9&#8243; baking pan.
