Place in a blender or food processor &amp; process thoroughly. Add vodka &amp; place in a dark glass bottle or jar with a tight fitting cap. Let stand 3 days. Strain through a fine mesh, pushing against solids. Discard solids<br \/>\n reserve strained puree. Place sugar, water, cloves, cinnamon &amp; orange peel in a saucepan &amp; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat &amp; simmer 30 minutes. Remove orange peel &amp; stir in almond extract. Pour sugar syrup over strained cranberry mixture. Strain again, through paper coffee filter, then pour into bottle &amp; cap tightly. Mature at least 1 week before serving<br \/>\n gets more mellow with age.
