He got into the yellow jeep the other day, and his knee caught the glove box latch, and it snapped off. The latch was already skewed and protruded a bit when we bought the jeep, so no surprise.<\/p>\n<p>Mo put the latch, broken pin, and spring back in the glove box, which I retrieved today to see if I could repair.<\/p>\n<p>The photos below show how I drilled a hole in the pin and latch, creating a metal pin out of a nail. Kind of like a pin in a broken leg. Contact cement held it all together. I repositioned the spring, which was a bit of a puzzle. The latch is actually better than before Mo&#8217;s knee encountered it.
