Sadly, iTunes 4.0.1 removed this feature due to piracy concerns. Fortunately, you can re-enable iTunes sharing across subnets with the freeware <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chaoticsoftware.com\/ProductPages\/RendezvousBeacon.html\">Rendezvous Beacon<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nAfter downloading and launching Rendezvous Beacon, create a new Beacon with the following values:<\/p>\n<p>Beacon Enabled: (checked)<br \/>\nService Name: (descriptive name)<br \/>\nService Type: _daap._tcp.<br \/>\nPort Number: 3689<br \/>\nText Record: (empty)<br \/>\nEnable Host Proxy: (checked)<br \/>\nHost Name: (rendezvous name of your home computer)<br \/>\nIP Address: (ip address of home computer)<\/p>\n<p>Now you&#8217;ll be able to access the iTunes shared music on your home computer through your work computer&#8217;s iTunes as if they were both on the same subnet.<\/p>\n<p><em>Now playing: <strong>She&#8217;s Always A Woman<\/strong> from the album &#8220;The Stranger&#8221; by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=%22Billy Joel%22\" target=\"_blank\">Billy Joel<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This tip let our iBook (wireless&#8230; different subnet) reach our wired iMac.
