In a nutshell<\/p>\n<p>1) NetCentriX mail users move over first (and upgrade clients to R5)<\/p>\n<p>2) NetCentriX applications second,<\/p>\n<p>3) ITS last.<\/p>\n<p>. New Netfinity computer name: Merlin<\/p>\n<p>. Notes server id: Merlin\/NetCentriX (simplification in computer \/ server naming convention)<\/p>\n<p>* Have merlin.netcentrix.net added to DNS. (George)<\/p>\n<p>. Move NCX mail users, leaving design as 4.6, and replicating with Excalibur.<\/p>\n<p>. Upgrade NCX clients to R5 (your computers)<\/p>\n<p>. Upgrde mail file designs to R5.<\/p>\n<p>. Move all other directories and .nsfs.<\/p>\n<p>. Make MX record netcentrix.net goes to merlin&#8217;s i.p.<\/p>\n<p>. Mail comes into Excalibur waiting for MX record to take.<\/p>\n<p>. Users replicate w\/ Merlin and mail goes out of Merlin.<\/p>\n<p>. When MX record switches, stop mail replication.<\/p>\n<p>. Set up replication between Excalibur and Merlin for non-mail applications<\/p>\n<p>. Set up ITS virtual server on Merlin.<\/p>\n<p>. Submit DNS change for ITS.<\/p>\n<p>. ITS replicates w\/ Merlin until DNS change fully propogates.<\/p>\n<p>. Redirect ITS&#8217;s own Notes server to replicate with Merlin.<\/p>\n<p>. Excalibur becomes Development when verified no client activity.
